What's the difference between "Washed" and "Unwashed"?
Washed items have been professionally laundered and pressed after their previous life, so they're ready to wear the moment they arrive. Unwashed items are inspected and sound but sent exactly as received — ideal if you'd rather clean delicate or vintage fabrics yourself. Unwashed pieces are always priced lower to reflect that. Whichever grade you choose, items are sold as seen — the grade and photos tell you exactly what to expect.
How do you check condition?
Every garment is inspected by hand against a fixed checklist: fabric integrity, seams, zips and buttons, marks, and odour. Anything worth knowing is photographed up close and written into the listing. If we wouldn't wear it ourselves, we don't list it.
Can I return something?
No — every piece is sold as seen and all sales are final. Because these are one-of-a-kind preloved garments, we don't offer returns or exchanges. That's exactly why we grade honestly and photograph every flaw up close: so you can buy with total confidence before you commit. Measurements and condition notes are on every listing, and we're always happy to answer questions first.
Where do the clothes come from?
We source from wardrobe clear-outs, estate lots, retailer deadstock, and individual sellers across the UK. Everything is authenticated and graded before it reaches the site.
